EyeFly: Audio-Only Smart Glasses

New York’s House of Modo has launched a new smart eyewear brand, which debuted at Mido 2026 in Italy, that integrates audio with no visual capture or recording.

Modo said EyeFly is crafted to look and feel like premium everyday eyewear, integrating open-ear audio and hands-free connectivity directly into the frame.

Users can listen to music and podcasts, while built-in microphones support calls and voice interactions with AI assistants without earbuds, cables or screens.

For everyday use, we believe video is not only unnecessary but can even feel intrusive

But with no visual capture or recording capability, Eyefly offers “an open-ear experience that keeps you connected while preserving both your privacy and that of the person you are talking to”, said Alessandro Lanaro, founder and global CEO, House of Modo and EyeFly.

“For everyday use, we believe video is not only unnecessary but can even feel intrusive, which is why ‘Sound in Motion’ has such huge potential, and we intend to lead this new category in the optical industry.”

“With EyeFly, we are excited to enter the tech world with a product that condenses the real functionality of today’s wearable technology into frames that look and feel premium,” said Alessandro Lanaro, founder and global CEO, House of Modo and EyeFly.

Smart temples can be swapped for standard temples, transforming EyeFly into traditional eyewear.
