EssilorExpress: An Australian Made Achievement

EssilorLuxottica has chosen Australian Made Week (18–24 May 2026) to highlight the achievements of Essilor Express – its local lab network that “combines global innovation with Australian craftsmanship.

Cyril Conquet, EssilorLuxottica ANZ Operations Director, said that with the expertise of its Australian teams, “Essilor Express has delivered a 95.2% service rate, exceeding the 95.0% target” in its first year of operation.  

“Since launch, we’ve completed 88,961 Express orders, with 803 practices benefiting from the service – a strong reflection of both trust in the offer and consistency in delivery,” Mr Conquet said.

With an average completion time of 1.7 days for Express orders compared with 4.3 days via the standard option, he said its Express service “is helping partners get jobs back up to three days sooner. Backed by 26-hour local production, this means faster turnaround for practices and a better experience for patients.” 

Mr Conquet said that across its Express network of local labs there are 230 people behind every lens, including 173 optical workers, 29 customer service functions, and 28 support functions.
