Eyecare Plus is a member organisation made up of more than 120 independent optometry practices located across regional and metro areas within Australia. At Eyecare Plus National Office we provide our members with specialised support and services across a range of different areas including business development, administration and marketing.
About the role:
As a Business Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Targeting high-quality, independent optometry practice owners to join the organisation and promoting the benefits of membership.
- Conducting Practice Business Reviews at existing member practices, analysing performance and addressing any issues.
- Administering and managing member needs regarding advertising support systems, supplier offers and facilitating training sessions.
- Assisting members with succession planning, including preparing practice business summaries and connecting them with potential buyers.
- Assisting in establishing greenfield practices for both new and current members
- Coordinating with and assisting the National Office with various administrative and contractual processes.
- Overseeing advertising in industry publications and representing the Client at national and regional trade fairs and events.
Capabilities:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a commercial environment.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales/business development role.
- Proven track record of providing high levels of support and business advice in a small/medium business setting.
- Strong business acumen and accountability for revenue targets through sales and service provision.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the optical industry, particularly optometry practice management.
- Experience in managing membership organisations or similar entities.
