The British Contact Lens Association has announced that its 2009 Clinical Conference and Exhibition will be held in Manchester, U.K. from 28 to 31 May.
International speakers will include Professors Debbie Sweeney, Nathan Efron and Brien Holden from Australia; Drs Ray Applegate, Ian Cox, Lisa Keay and Jason Nichols from the U.S., as well as Europe’s leading experts in contact lenses and anterior eye.
Organisers say the conference will provide essential information to help practitioners stay ahead and the chance to meet with contact lens professionals from around the world are just some of the reasons for attending the world’s largest contact lens meeting.
Running alongside the lecture programme are six clinical presentations, a workshop on team leading, poster and photographic competitions, and a specially designed course in contact lens fitting for ophthalmologists.
Social events are an important feature of any BCLA conference and this year will include a welcome reception, Friday night party and glittering Gala Dinner, as well as a full programme for accompanying persons.
BCLA President, Dr. Sarah Janikoun, says the conference is an essential event for all those with an interest in contact lenses.
