The Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA) launched its new website.
This follows the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer and President who says they are committed to making membership more attractive.
According to newly appointed CCLSA CEO, Ms. Dorothy McDiarmid, the organisation’s new website will become a valuable resource for both CCLSA members and their patients and features “an online ‘Practice Finder’ that allows members of the public to search for practitioners by name or location nation-wide,” said Ms. McDiarmid.
“The site will also feature patient-specific information about common eye conditions and contact lenses, operating as a fantastic patient referral tool for our timestrapped members.
“Our exclusive passwordprotected members’ section will feature the latest optometric news and information from across the globe, as well as continuing education, research grant and fellowship opportunities with the CCLSA.
“We will continue to hold regular state meetings and an international meeting every second year. We anticipate these events will promote the exchange of information and ideas among our members and their peers,” said Ms. McDiarmid.
New CCLSA President is Perth-based optometrist, Mr. Ian G. Sim, who is also an Optometrist Consultant at the Royal Perth Hospital Eye Clinic. Visit www.cclsa.org.au for membership details.
