Optometry Giving Sight is appealing to all optometrists to support its quest to give sight – and hope – to people in communities with little or no access to eye care.
Calling its campaign ‘Seeing Eye to Eye’, the charitable organisation says: “It is a great way of raising the profile of optometry and your practice, in your local community, while helping to transform lives through financially supporting sustainable vision care programs.
“Simply select a product or service such as frames, contact lenses or eye exams and donate a set amount (AUD$2 to AUD$5) from each sale. Materials promoting your practice’s involvement are supplied by Optometry Giving Sight including posters and a press release which they are happy to help you place with your local newspaper.”
