Every now and then an instrument comes along that makes practitioners say “Wow!” One such instrument is Topcon’s BV-1000 Automated Subjective Refraction System.
This unique instrument, due to be released by Optical Manufacturers at Odmafair this month, is sure to create a great deal of interest.
The BV-1000 has been developed by some of the world’s leading interactive electronic scientists in response to input from ophthalmologists and optometrists. Topcon’s renowned objective refraction accuracy is now combined with intelligent interactive software that modifies the measurement procedure based on patient response, much like the subjective refraction process used by all optometrists. Multi-language support is incorporated and operating modes can be pre-selected and optimised by the practitioner.
With extremely high patient acceptance and repeatability, Topcon’s BV-1000 has the potential to improve efficiency in the busiest of practices.
Optical Manufacturers, a division of Device Technologies, can be found at Stand 318 at Odmafair.
