Transitions Optical received an overwhelming response to its contest at the 2009 Odmafair with more than 850 visitors answering the question “How do you live your vision?”
Participants happily shared their views on the importance of healthy sight with amusing and heartfelt responses.
Among the three major prize winners who received a Sony HD Handycam, was South Australian optometrist, Rex Wallis, with this novel view on Transitions lenses:
“There was a man on a mission, but he had trouble making a decision, distance or near, sunglass or clear, at least that’s easy with Transitions!”
Eight runners up received a Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera, including Jeremy Richards of Victoria with this ditty: “What I see. How I look. How I live. How I love. My only limit is my imagination. Inspired by dreams, accompanied by loved ones. This is how I live my vision.”
And rhyming her reasoning, Angela Moran of New South Wales said: “It is without contrition, that I submit this admission I never go fishin’ without my Transitions.”
The Transitions exhibit also encouraged passers-by to get involved in fun photoshoots, posing in shots with both “clear” and “dark” Transitions lenses. Different backgrounds, including indoors, outdoors and night settings were superimposed on the image, placing the wearer in mock scenarios.
