Online Eye Guide

An interactive guide that helps patients understand the many types, benefits, functions and features of lenses will be launched online this month.

My Glasses Guide by Transitions Optical is a comprehensive resource that helps patients understand the choices available in eyewear. Featuring a five minute questionnaire, the website asks patients about themselves, their lifestyle and their vision and provides information and tailored suggestions which can be emailed or printed to take to their next eye examination.

“We hope to equip and enhance consumer knowledge of the many eyewear options available and because they are more informed, they’re more likely to be receptive to eye care professional recommendations,” said Kate Mulcahy Transitions Optical Australia and New Zealand Marketing Manager.

My Glasses Guide also asks about face shape, skin tone and hair colour to help consumers consider the most flattering frame style and colour for them.

Short interactive videos for each of the major lens treatments and designs explain the lens benefits and technology with easyto- understand diagrams, dot points and narration. Eye care professionals are also welcomed to share the clips with patients during consultation to illustrate the benefits of their recommended product.

The website also features information about protecting healthy sight, FAQs and a helpful database to locate patients’ nearest optometrists throughout Australia and New Zealand. Visit My Glasses Guide at: www.eyeglassguide.com
