Multifocal CL Campaign Targets Presbyopes

Bausch & Lomb has launched a national consumer campaign aimed at bringing presbyopes into optometry practices.

The company says the campaign, to run throughout the rest of this year and into 2010, comes in the wake of a survey showing that almost seven million Australians and 1.4 million New Zealanders are currently presbyopic or will soon be presbyopic. 1

“PureVision Multi-Focal contact lenses from Bausch & Lomb represent an exciting opportunity to capitalise on this trend. Its key target audience are women 40 plus who are heavy consumers of magazines and websites in which Bausch & Lomb are advertising. This is an important consumer group, addressing their visual needs will be an important contribution to maintaining and growing the contact lens wearer base,” says Kelley Mirabello, Commercial Director, Vision Care Australia and New Zealand.
