The MONDIAL de l’OPTIQUE Paris 2010 (World Optical Fair) will take place on 23 to 26 September 2010 at a new location within the Paris- Nord Villepinte international exhibition centre in the heart of Greater Paris.
This will offer exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to come together in a convenient and accessible venue and to a take advantage of its new configuration in brightly lit, contemporary exhibition halls offering comfort and spaciousness and with a platform of strengthened services.
Organisers say SILMO 2010 is expanding its programme of information and events – merchandising workshops, trends and innovations forums, Silmo TV, Optical World Technology Symposium, Silmo Academy Scientific Colloquium and the much awaited Silmo d’Or Awards ceremony.
Organisers say opticians need to consolidate their knowledge of vision and optics and in order to support them in their daily work, SILMO has decided to adopt a proactive and accessible approach by creating the “SILMO Academy”, an open forum centred around debate and the development of knowledge and skills.
Called the “Silmo Colloquium”, it is aimed at all opticians wanting to develop their expertise in dealing with clients. It promises to be a platform for improving knowledge and sharing experience with experts in each of the areas addressed. The colloquium is recognised as continuous professional development, with a certificate of attendance issued to all participants.
