More than 10,000 people are visiting the “My Glasses Guide” website each month to learn about the many types, benefits, functions and features of different lenses before their next eye examination.
Launched in September 2009 and established by Transitions Optical, the website features information about protecting sight, explaining different eye conditions, recognising eye diseases, frequently asked questions and a five minute questionnaire that provides information and tailored suggestions for different lenses, which can be emailed or printed to take to their next eye examination.
In addition to ninety thousand website visitors since its launch, around thirty thousand people have undertaken the interactive quiz.
“We are thrilled to be enhancing consumer knowledge of the many eyewear options available for their own benefit and also for eye care professionals who will notice their patients as more receptive to their recommendations,” Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Kate Mulcahy, said.
