Optical retailer “eyeclarity” has won a major award as one of the top businesses in the shire of Melton, Victoria, for the third year in a row.
The Powercor Melton Business Excellence Awards are held annually to reward and recognise the Shire’s top businesses.
Retailer eyeclarity won the Best Leisure, Health and Fitness Business for 2010.
eyeclarity began in June 1986 with a single store in Melton, servicing the growing local community, and now boasts five retail locations across Melbourne’s north western region. eyeclarity has consistently won other business awards each year including the Australian Retailers Association Boutique retailer of the Year for 2007.
“It is pleasing to see that a small independent business can effectively compete in today’s highly competitive environment. It is a testament to our business model and the great team of people who have worked very hard to be able to achieve this consistent result and of which we are all proud of at eyeclarity,” said company principal Jim Papas.
