Prada has just unveiled its latest eyewear collection – ‘Swing’ – from the dimly lit surrounds of the very hip New York jazz club, Joe’s Pub, the venue noted for bringing into prominence thousands of artists including Amy Winehouse.

One of the world’s foremost fashion labels kicked off the Swing collection with an ad campaign which features beehived model, Angela Lindvall, seductively singing ‘Fever’ amid silhouette decked dancers.
There’s been a lot of hype around this new Prada collection which combines the fifties shape with the simple lines of the nineties Prada eyewear design. The design of the new shades reflects the brand’s quintessential elegance and portrayal of modern femininity.

Prada is also looking for cartoonists around the world to create a fantasy heroine for the brand by entering the Prada ‘Magna Contest’. The only restriction is the new heroine must be featured wearing the new Swing Sunglasses in the cartoon strips. The contest runs until the end of August.
Prada Swing will be available at Prada boutiques and selected retailers worldwide from this October.
