The multi-award winning Adidas terrex pro has been launched in a new series of colours – matte black combined with blue or white – to celebrate receiving the Plus X Award.
The award is given to manufacturers for improvements in the quality of their products.
First launched in 2009, the multi-award winning sports eyewear for mountaineering combines maximum protection with style.
In the mountains, protection from the sun’s rays is essential: the higher you climb, the more eyes need protection from UV rays and from extreme climate conditions.
From a technical point of view, an important terrex pro innovation is the Twin Filter, which is inserted inside the front part of the eyewear when required. The soft expanded padding of Twin Filter guarantees perfect fit and stability and helps protect the eyes in excessive humidity or cold. Forced ventilation technology and the anti-fogging coating prevent the eyewear from fogging or freezing. The front filters are designed to ensure total protection from UV rays.
The eyewear is extremely flexible and strong. The temples can be adjusted in three positions, while the nose piece has two positions to adapt to the wearer. The temples, which can be replaced by a strap if required, have a special automatic release system, which protects the eyes in the event of a fall.
The terrex pro package also includes a pair of orange front filters, a special nose shield, a second nose piece and a pair of spare lenses for the Twin Filter.
For mountaineers who wear corrective lenses, different options are available for adapting terrex pro to the exact level of vision correction.
