A symposium on the Hawaiian island of Maui will update vitreoretinal specialists on the most recent advances in their field, and explore ways to integrate these advances into everyday clinical practice.
From 16 to 21 January next year, renowned Professors of Ophthalmology from Universities and Eye Clinics across the United States will present a series of formal lectures and informal discussions focussed on specific cases, new therapy and imaging techniques, and the latest surgical strategies.
Topics will include insights into the pathogenesis and treatment of dry age related macular degeneration; the use of anti-VEGF agents, as well as optimal dosing strategies for the treatment of choroidal neovascularisation in wet age-related macular degeneration; developments in vitreoretinal surgery technology; and treatment approaches for retinal inflammatory disorders and posterior uveitis.
They will also explain the results from trials for the treatment of retinal venous occlusion.
