Shaan Launch Lab Management System

Shaan has celebrated its lab’s ninth birthday with the launch of a new Lab Management System.

The system uses the Innovations Calculation Program, which is widely regarded within the global optical industry as best-in-class. Put simply, the software program automates prescription lens processing by providing a powerful set of functions designed to manage the process, and business, of lens manufacturing. Lens selection, surfacing and finishing calculations are performed automatically using a comprehensive database of lens properties.

Shaan’s new software also enables the company to receive remote trace orders from customers (for those that still operate remote tracing units) and for customers to track the real-time progress, on line, of their jobbing through Shaan’s production flow.

Shaan’s General Manager Aaron McColl, said the new system offers customers transparency of operation and proactive communication.

Our software implementation caps off our recent rebranding and is just another example of the significant steps forward we continue to take

“Our software implementation caps off our recent rebranding and is just another example of the significant steps forward we continue to take,” said Mr. McColl.

“Shaan’s evolution into a full service independent lab with great frames over the last nine years has had many challenges, and I couldn’t be prouder of the efforts of our staff, and the great job they have done building Shaan’s reputation for quality jobbing and service. Our continued growth and prosperity is testament to this fact.”
