BCLA Call for Submissions The British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) has opened online submissions for clinical workshops and clinical spotlight sessions for its 2012 Clinical Conference and Exhibition, to be held at the Birmingham ICC f rom 24-27 May.
Clinical workshops allow delegates to gain new practical skills in small groups under expert guidance. Clinical Spotlight Sessions, introduced in 2010, enable audiences to hear from a selection of speakers over a two hour period.
Submissions on any topic related to contact lenses and/or the anterior eye will be considered. Proposals submitted by groups or individuals for a two-hour Clinical Spotlight session should comprise one-and-a-half hours of CET presentations, followed by a 30-minute Q&A period.
The deadline for all submissions is Friday 23 September 2011. Presenters of accepted workshops will be required to submit a 1,000 word outline of their workshop by 5 April 2012.
