The Silmo d’Or 2011 judging is currently underway. The Silmo d’Or is the profession’s only awards scheme, recognised and eagerly awaited by an international audience and rewarding expertise, talent, creativity and innovation.
The Silmo d’Or rewards the creativity and the inventive spirit for a whole profession. But still more it underlines the interest of the professionals, producers and opticians, for the recognition of a quality control mark.
Created in 1994, this Price is an originality and quality control mark, which rewards the intrinsic values for our profession: innovation, technology and creativity.

The Jury
After the selection of nominations by various specialist panels, a Grand Jury comprising a Chair, eight members (experts from each category, major international buyers and journalists) and Silmo’s President select eight companies for awards among the nominees of each category.
All the exhibitors of the SILMO can contribute and present a product on the show.
The final judging is currently underway with the winners of each Category to be announced at the Silmo Gala event later tonight.
