Vision Impaired Online Banking

A new resource is available to support online banking for customers who are blind or have low vision and use screen readers. The Commonwealth Bank’s NetBank Online Banking Guide was developed in partnership with Vision Australia.

Commonwealth Bank said its customers now have improved access to step-by-step instructions for their daily online banking needs such as viewing accounts, transferring money and paying bills using BPAY. The Guide would be a “useful tool to make everyday banking simple and easy”,
the Bank said.

Vision Australia’s Luisa Ferronato said the Guide gives people using a screen reader the tips and hints to effectively navigate and use all the features of online banking.
