Dr. Brennan MScOptom, PhD, FAAO joined the faculty of the University of Melbourne before maintaining his own consultancy business for the last 16 years. He is widely published in the areas of contact lenses, optics and myopia development and has presented his work at numerous international conferences. He has also been a principal investigator and authored reports for over 200 government and industry contracts and grants.

Dr. Brennan co-developed the Liou-Brennan model eye, described as the most ‘anatomically accurate model eye in ophthalmology today’ and as the ‘industry standard’. He also co-designed the Medmont E300 Corneal Topographer. Among his awards are the Senior Fulbright Scholarship and the Max Shapero Memorial Award from the American Academy of Optometry.

Upon commencing his role with JJVCI in Jacksonville, Florida Dr. Brennan said:
“To be able to actually be involved with the research responsible for the development of products, rather than just correct the condition, is to me one of the most exciting things to happen in my lifetime.”
