The Smartscope from BOC Instruments is a hand-held digital combination non-mydriatic fundus and anterior eye imaging camera with a 5MP CMOS sensor.
This extremely compact, light and neatly designed package has an LED light source which allows up to 90 minutes use without having to recharge. It has both manual and autofocus modes and delivers both still and video image capture. Fundus images with 45 degrees field of view can be captured in colour and red free, and Cobalt blue LEDs also allow fluorescent imaging capture of cornea/tear film abnormalities or for recording contact lens fit.
The Smartscope is self contained with integrated high resolution TFT-LCD display. Place in the docking station to charge or for image transfer to a PC via USB. Patient data management software is included
