Eyeclarity’s Melton practice has again been recognised for its outstanding business practices with the 2012 Powercor Melton Best Personal Service Business Award. The practice was also a finalist for the Overall Business for the Year. Eyeclarity Melton has won awards for four of the five past years.
Speaking at a Gala Dinner at Witchmount Estate Winery to celebrate the Awards, Melton’s Shire Council Mayor, Cr Justin Mammarella JP, said “For the past six years, the Powercor Melton Business Excellence Awards have been the most prestigious business event in our municipality, showcasing and rewarding the outstanding enterprises.
“It was a delight to judge this business and witness their commitment and passion for their community. The business is well planned and has a long term vision and direction. This strategy combined with the enthusiasm of all who work there will see the business continue to go from strength to strength.”
In the judges’ statement, Eyeclarity was acknowledged as a local business that has successfully grown from its first store in Melton in 1986 to now operate five stores across the western suburbs of Melbourne.
The judges said Eyeclarity has “clearly demonstrated a thriving business model that is meeting their customers’ needs in an increasingly competitive market”.
They also acknowledged the business’ strong involvement with the community through business associations, sponsorships of local events, public education and prevention programs and free screenings for children at local primary schools.
Jim Papas, managing director of Eyeclarity, was thrilled to receive the award. “We are so pleased to be recognised for our ability to providing outstanding customer service, especially in this environment where everything seems to be so price driven,” he said.
