After a brief respite, Australia’s iconic eyewear designer, Paul Taylor, is back and once again, he’s honing in on the finer points of eyewear design.
Paul’s latest collections have been created from a carefully selected colour palette and crafted in Italy using the highest quality acetate. The range includes both optics and sunglasses and the latter is fitted with Carl Zeiss sunlenses.
Paul says he doesn’t design for fashion and, unlike many in his field, he doesn’t look to nature, art or architecture for inspiration. He simply loves the human face and it’s many shapes, and he gets a great deal of satisfaction from designing frames to fit.
Pictured is a model called Hutchence, named after the late musician and actor Michael Hutchence who wore the same shape Paul Taylor frames, but in solid black, back in the 90s.
Along with his stunning new eyewear collections, Paul Taylor continues to produce his original cats eye frame for which he is best known.
