After 30 years at the helm of Safilo Group, Managing Director and Partner Roger Chick has retired to pursue other opportunities and interests. The position has been filled by the newly appointed Commercial Director of Operations, Mr. David Pearson who will supervise Sales, Marketing and Operations.
Safilo Group said Mr. Chick has been instrumental to the development of Safilo in Australia for more than three decades. “Roger has been the driving force behind the company in all these years, supporting the establishment of a well-respected, successful and profitable organisation that has been able to face a complex and fast changing market,” said Matteo Gaeta, the Chief Operations Officer for Safilo Far East.
“Safilo Australia has been built on passion, commitment and a deep relationship with the customers, qualities commonly acknowledged to Roger’s management style. These traits are and will be the basis of the foundation for the new Safilo Australia,” he added.
