Students from the University of New South Wales School of Optometry celebrated the near conclusion of the academic year at the School’s annual ball last Saturday night (29 September).
The ball, which was organised by the Student Optometry Society, was held at the Imax theatre overlooking Daring Harbour.
Society president, Thomas Desmond said it was a wonderful event with 200 students from 1st to 5th year, staff members and sponsors in attendance.
“Attendees enjoyed a fantastic three course dinner, a drink service throughout the night and music from a DJ. There were speeches, a trivia competition and a substantial prize giving, then dancing for the remainder of the evening.”
Prizes included an iPad from Specsavers and lenses from Designs for Vision. mivision’s photobooth was a hit, as usual with many students taking the opportunity to capture memories of themselves with friends in the booth.
mivision thanks Mondottica for providing the Jag, Mako and sunglass prizes that were given away at the ball.
