Belgian eyewear brand theo has once again worked with designer James Van Vossel to create a collection of exquisite eyewear that is quite simply like no other.
Van Vossel, who has now designed three collections for the brand, is also well known for coming up with highly functional, yet quirky furniture, accessories, toys and more. For his latest range of specs, Van Vossel challenged himself to integrate the nosepiece into the frame without introducing a new material or any additional weight.
Accordingly, to create James 5 (pictured), he literally cut corners. The frame has been made from one thin metal plate into which Van Vossel had already allowed for the nosepiece, which, once cut, was bent into shape. Consequently there is no frame between the lens and the nose. James 5 has been designed with an angular shape. Then there is James 6, which features a more rounded shape. Both are available in eight colours.
