Australia’s Dr. Tony Hanks – the founder and chairman of Eyecare Plus – has been appointed to the Optometry Giving Sight’s new Global Development Board.
The Global Development Board (GDB) has been created to be a key driver of strategic growth and development in relation to fundraising for Optometry Giving Sight.
Dr. Juan Carlos Aragon – a senior executive from CooperVision – has been announced as the inaugural Chair of the new GDB.
Making the announcement, CEO Clive Miller said Dr. Aragon has a very strong commitment to, and understanding of, Optometry Giving Sight, both personally and professionally, and has more than 28 years’ experience working in the global optical industry.
Joining Dr. Aragon and Dr. Hanks on the GDB will be:
Claude Darnault – Chief Sustainability Officer, Essilor;
Dr. Glenn Ellisor – CEO, Vision Source;
Rob Lynch – CEO, VSP Global;
Andrea Saia – Coca Cola Enterprises;
Dr. Al Ulsifer – FYI Eye Doctors; and
Dr. Rick Weisbarth – VP Professional Affairs, Alcon.
