Cambodia Vision is holding its first major fundraiser in Victoria – a banquet in the Melbourne suburb of Springvale at the end of this month.
The non-profit organisation has been undertaking eye care outreach trips to the southeast Asian kingdom since 2007.
The group sends teams of eye health professionals and general medical practitioners to the poorest parts of Cambodia. An average trip will result in more than 250 cataract surgeries, approximately 850 eye tests, and the distribution of 4,000 pairs of sunglasses and 1,500 spectacles.
The banquet will be held at the Maxim Restaurant, Springvale on Friday 26 April and will feature a live band and Cambodian singers.
