Transitions Optical has won a global award, recognising the manufacturer of photochromic lenses as one of the most engaged and productive workplaces in the world.
It is the fourth year in a row that Transitions has won the Gallup Great Workplace Award.
The 2013 Gallup Great Workplace Award winners are determined by a panel of workplace experts, who evaluated thousands of applicants based on exhaustive research. This was whittled down to just 32 companies, who received recognition for their workplace standards.
A spokesman for the awards said they highlight organisations that are setting global standards for workplace excellence.
“By integrating employee engagement into our strategy, leadership, performance, accountability and communication practices, we’ve been able to create an environment where each member of our team is recognised for their strengths and feels supported and confident in their role,” said Eric Breda, Business Director for Transitions Optical Australia and New Zealand.
