Hoya has announced the launch of its new FreeForm progressive lens, Hoyalux iD LifeStyle V+, designed in response to customer feedback.
“Through (customer) ordering behaviour and data input in the Mystyle iDentifier worldwide we have received lots of valuable data and information,” said Craig Johnston, National Training and Development Manager, Hoya Lens.
“Apart from our clients, wearer analysis, direct customer feedback, clinical trials and consumer research, have all contributed to new insights into visual needs in modern presbyopes. Along with a new FreeForm aspherisation process and design calculation technology, we can easily state that Hoyalux iD Lifestyle V+ clearly is the result of people based innovation.”
According to Hoya, Hoyalux iD Lifestyle V+ offers maximum visual acuity and a crisper perception through its new freeform aspherisation process. The progressive power distribution and build-up offers wider fields of vision and an optimised distance area, leading to a more relaxed vision. And, modern base parameters guarantee stable vision at all times, especially when using everyday equipment such as tablets, computers and smart phones. Reference powers are integrated for more accurate vision.
The lens comes in two design variations Hoyalux iD Lifestyle V+ Harmony – an all-round progressive lens for experienced presbyopes; and Hoyalux iD Lifestyle V+ Clarity – a dynamic progressive lens with primary focus on distance vision, designed for young active presbyopes who require sharp vision and unlimited movement.
