The latest technology and services for people who are blind or have low vision is on show at Vision Australia’s Texpo 2013.
Texpo is a national event, held this year in Brisbane (30-31 August), Melbourne (6-7 September) and Sydney (13-14 September).
“Products from Vision Australia’s Equipment Solutions as well as key technology suppliers from Australia and overseas will be on display. Visitors will discover everything from electronic readers and braillers to mobile phones and computer access tools,” said Luisa Ferronato, National Program Manager – Equipment Solutions.
This year, Vision Australia’s specialist staff will run a number of workshops, including ‘Master chef tech, solutions for creating in the Kitchen’, ‘From magnifiers to high definition, an update on low vision technologies’; and ‘Advancements in digital access, tablets and smartphones’.
From magnifiers to high definition, an update on low vision technologies…
Vision Australia staff will be on hand to talk to people about the services that the not-for-profit provides. Ms Ferronato said it’s well worth recommending Texpo to patients or people with family members who are vision impaired.
