The focus is on Paris this week, with anticipation building for the launch of SILMO 2013.
Held every autumn in the French capital and timed to coincide with Fashion Week, it is expected 75,000 optical professional – both visitors and exhibitors – will by drawn to SILMO.
The Mondial de l’Optique (or World Optical Fair) is held over a 77,000m2 area at Paris Nord Villepinte from Thursday 26 September to Sunday 29 September.
More than 950 businesses will be exhibiting at SILMO – 130 of those for the first time – representing 1,350 brands from all over the world.
SILMO President Philippe Lafont has promised an increased number of activities with “one or two original surprises”.
