The Miru 1-Day disposable lens is the latest offering from Menicon.
The new lens features innovative packaging, with an easy to open double foil blister that presents the lens front surface up. This significantly decreases the likelihood of the back surface becoming contaminated and avoids the need to fish around in the blister to find the lens.
Additionally, the compact nature of the Miru package makes it easier for the wearer to store at home and the
optometrist to store in practice.
The Miru 1-Day disposable lens is made from hema-GMA, a material that attracts moisture and provides excellent wettability and end of day comfort. Menicon claims it chose not to make the lens from silicon hydrogel in order to “eliminate adverse comfort often associated with that material”.
Miru is distributed by Capricornia Contact Lens, Contact Lens Centre and Gelflex.
