A Masterclass hosted at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Gardens Point Campus in Brisbane has attracted 270 optometrists to hear about ocular urgencies, emergencies and surgeries.
The conference day was hosted by Vision Eye Institute and delegates were welcomed by Professor Peter Hendicott, head of the optometry school at QUT.
Dr. Simon Chen spoke on retinal vascular emergencies and interesting trauma cases; Dr. Matt Russell presented retinal case studies including tips on managing haemorrhage, sub-retinal fluid, and exudites; Dr. Frank Howes spoke on glaucoma ‘urgencies, emergencies and surgeries’ and Dr. Julie Albeitz spoke about managing red eye.
