Top Marks for CCLSA

A new website and renewed focus on providing educational events and online lectures has improved the standing of the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA) amongst its members. A recent survey showed that 96 per cent of members resoundingly endorsed CCLSA continuing education and that a similar number were satisfied with their membership.

“We have been working hard to revitalise the CCLSA in an effort to bring all the latest in research and new developments to optometrists. It’s good to hear that our members are enjoying the dinner events and feedback from our Masterclass event in Hobart last year was also very positive,” said CEO Dorothy Carlborg.

“We have completely reworked the website and we are in the process of making more of our lectures available online, as we particularly want to be able to provide content for optometrists in regional areas, who we are unfortunately not always able to reach with face-to-face content.”

She said the CCLSA was currently planning 2014 Masterclass events in Adelaide and Perth, as well as the 2015 International Cornea and Contact Lens Conference. Full survey results are available: www.cclsa.org.au
