Launched by the Rudy Project, Proflow is characterised by the singular geometry of the patented suspended hinge: an evolution of the prize-winning system first adopted for Ketyum glasses that allows for micrometrical adjustment of the temple tips.
Proflow glasses are extraordinarily lightweight, and made from the latest generation materials such as polyoxymethylene and aluminium. A Carboncore frame, enriched with carbon polymers and high quality thermoplastic materials, is more resistant to stresses, durable and extremely lightweight while also providing elasticity for comfort.
Floating temples are forged from Kynetium, a revolutionary ultra-light aluminium alloy for aerospace applications. An ‘Integrated Air Conditioning’ system on the inner surface of the temples directs the air flow coming from carvings in the lenses towards the outside. This reduces thermal shock and prevents fogging, ensuring a perfect vision and ventilation. A ‘Quick Change’ interchangeable lens system enables the wearer to slip the right lenses in to the frame to suit the conditions.
The Proflow was named a Good Design Selection in the prestigious Good Design Award by Australia’s preeminent design organisation Good Design Australia.
