A unique ion-deposition manufacturing process allows nine ultra-thin layers to be densely packed; producing a coating three times harder than previous generation AR coatings by ZEISS1, 35 per cent harder than mineral lenses2 and with a Bayer rating of greater than 10 across all indices, making it extremely durable and long lasting.
The ZEISS patented anti-static layer3 helps to repel dirt and dust, while the super-slick clean coat with oleophobic and super-hydrophobic properties ensures the lens stay cleaner for longer. The new blue reflective colour also decreases luminous reflectance by 20 per cent, making it less noticeable than traditional green AR coating, while allowing visible light through.
