Hilke Fitzsimons has been appointed managing director of Zeiss Australasia, effective 1 May 2015.
With 18 years progressive leadership experience in the optical industry, Ms. Fitzsimons will lead all Zeiss Australasia legal entities (Carl Zeiss Pty Ltd, Carl Zeiss Vision Australia Holdings and Carl Zeiss (NZ) Ltd.) She succeeds Joe Redner, who has taken over as President of Sales and Service at Carl Zeiss Meditec Inc in the USA. Ms. Fitzsimons will also remain the head of the Vision Care business, a role she has held since October 2014.
