Optometry Giving Sight was thrilled to receive a cheque of AU$5,500 from MDeyes while at ODMA 2015.
The donation was the result of a collaboration between the two companies, instigated at Australian Vision Conference in April 2014, when MDeyes launched its once daily AREDS 2 macula supplement. MDeyes pledged to commit an annual donation based on their yearly sales to Optometry Giving Sight.
Making the presentation, MDeyes director Philip Spork said: “People with macular degeneration can empathise with the daily frustration and difficulty of living with visual impairment, and I think a cause like Optometry Giving Sight resonates with many of them. We’re very happy to be able to donate to an excellent initiative like Optometry Giving Sight.”
