Eyes4Everest Film for Support

A documentary following the second Eyes4Everest (E4E) trip to Nepal aims to generate support for a sustainable eye clinic to meet the needs of Sherpa families.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column]

The documentary will focus on E4E founder and young optometrist Shaun Chang and colleagues as they supply basic eye care to Sherpas, particularly children, in the Himalayas.

“Last year we had to turn away people who had walked four hours to see our team of optometrists for treatment. We had to return this year to Nepal with a bigger team, more sponsorship and equipment. My ultimate aim is to open the first sustainable eye clinic in the Sagarmatha National Park,” said Mr. Chang.

“People in these communities only have two choices; to become a mountain guide or a farmer. We want to empower local communities and give them an alternative life-choice… by spreading our message, I think we will achieve our aim.”
