Essilor has appointed Eric Breda to the role of General Manager for Independents and Affiliated Optometry, and Laurent Soudier to the role of Operations Director.
Mr. Breda, who joined the company in August, previously held the position of Business Director ANZ with Transitions Optical. Over ten years he oversaw strong sales growth and the firm establishment of the Transitions Lenses brand in the psyche of Australian consumers. Prior to joining Transitions Optical in 1999, Mr. Breda held various marketing related roles. At Essilor he takes direct responsibility for driving the company’s organic growth objectives across the independent optometry market through effective strategic partnering and relationship management.
Mr. Breda is supported by Leonie Phillips (Key Account Manager, EyeCare Plus), Elizabeth Baiada (Sales Manager, Independents) and Robyn Wren in her new role of Key Account Manager (Provision).
Laurent Soudier has worked with Essilor for 28 years, most recently with Essilor Greater China where he held the role of Senior Director, Operations and I.T. This will be Mr. Soudier’s third working period in Australia. In his new role he will take charge of, and be responsible for, all manufacturing processes and activities across Australia and New Zealand, including the branch laboratory network, supply chain and logistics, quality assurance, maintenance and off-shoring strategy.
