In 2014 Optovue launched the first OCT-Angiography, AngioVue as an upgrade for its widefield ultra-high speed Avanti XR OCT model.
AngioVue provides extremely high detailed 3D visualisation of the individual layers of retinal vasculature for management of disease progression non-invasively, without the use of dye. AngioVue scans of the retina and optic nerve head are acquired in seconds when performing OCT scans to deliver information on both structure as well as function.
Now Optovue has released AngioAnalytics, the world’s only OCT angiography-based quantification of ocular blood flow.
AngioAnalytics provides additional information to facilitate management of disease progression including:
- Flow area measurement to quantify an area of vascularisation in a user-defined region of interest.
- Non-flow area measurement to quantify an avascular area defined by automatic border detection. The user can select non-flow areas and the tool will quantify the cumulative non-flow area.
- Flow density map assessment with relative density of flow as a percentage of the total area.
The Optovue range is distributed exclusively by BOC Instruments in Australia.
