Live Window Dressing at O-Show

Organisers of O-SHOW continue to announce news of what can be expected at the inaugural buying event which runs from 21–22 May 2016 at Peninsula, Central Pier Docklands in Melbourne.

Those who are planning to attend O-Show will be pleased to hear that a feature of this boutique pop up show will be live window dressing on the show floor. Kerry van Beuge a highly acclaimed retail stylist who specialises in the optical industry will create eye catching window displays from a window space to finished design. O-Show attendees will be able to learn about design tips, upcoming trends and what to do with all the point of sale items that arrive in practice.

Snappy business sessions will also be held on the show floor over the two day event. Robert Springer will address maximising the digital world in the optical industry by featuring best practices of online marketing and how to master the art of personalised patient messaging.

Other sessions include internationally acclaimed presenter Mark Davis who will explore how to create value in order to secure and retain customers. New Zealand presenter Paul Hillier from Clarity 2020 will deliver a snap shot session on retaining patients. Entitled ‘Patients go elsewhere because they can’, attendees will learn how to know where the patient is in the sales process and how to identify points of difference from the patient’s perspective.

Robert Sparkes, Chairman of O-Show host ODMA, said he is delighted with the response to date. “We have had a very strong pre-registration of visitor numbers with many coming from around Australia as well as New Zealand. This is a buying fair and a great opportunity to have an exclusive view of what is new,” he said.

More than 30 Australian leaders in equipment, sunglasses, frames, and lenses have confirmed their participation in the inaugural event. Some of the major companies exhibiting include Matrix, Tomato Glasses, Jono Hennessy, Artemiss, Frames Ectetera, Design for Vision, Essilor, Tiger Vision, BOC Instruments, Mimo, Heidelberg Engineering and ilab Optics to name a few.
