Optique Line and MD EyeCare have increased their sponsorship of Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) to platinum and silver level, respectively.
Both companies donate a portion of sales for every product purchased. Optique Line has been a supporter of Optometry Giving Sight for over four years. In 2013, they established a cause related marketing (CRM) program called ‘One for One’, that provides a donation to Optometry Giving Sight for every sale from the Gemini Collection and Aura Flex range.
Speaking of the arrangement, Managing Director John Nicola said, “It is thanks to the support of our customers that we are able to support such a great cause that is Optometry Giving Sight.”
Similarly, MD EyeCare started as a supporter to Optometry Giving Sight in 2013, soon after the launch of MDeyes Once Daily, a macular defence supplement for the treatment of intermediate stage age-related macular degeneration. MD EyeCare has now risen to the level of Silver Sponsor, with the ‘MDeyes for Sight’ initiative modelled on the ‘Eyes for Eyes’ concept. The initiative enables MDeyes’ customers to support their macular health while also helping support projects that give sight to those in need.
MDeyes’ Director Philip Spork said, “Our customers can empathise with the daily frustration and difficulty of living with visual impairment, and I think a cause like Optometry Giving Sight resonates with many of them.”
Ron Baroni, Country Manager of Optometry Giving Sight said performance based sponsorships are a great sustainable fundraising effort that helps ensure the long-term impact of Optometry Giving Sight-funded projects.
