Presbia Microlens

The Presbia Microlens™ is a corneal inlay made from hydrophilic polymer and designed to correct presbyopia. The lens is 3.2 mm in diameter and about 15 microns in edge thickness, making it barely discernible once placed in the corneal stroma.

The Presbia Microlens uses a refractive index to correct presbyopia, which helps to increase the quality of near vision without the undesirable effect of monovision. Implanted in the non-dominant eye, the Presbia Microlens offers the ability to see near, far and intermediate distances with only a limited reduction in distance vision. The lens is permanent however it can be easily removed and replaced with a stronger prescription if presbyopia advances.
