Z Night is Menicon’s orthokeratology RGP lens, manufactured in The Netherlands using Menicon Z material, claimed to be the highest Dk RGP material available (Dk 189) to ensure a high safety margin for overnight wear. Recently introduced to Australia, Menicon has stated that Z Night is one of the most widely used ortho-K lenses in Europe, with practitioners reporting great results and particularly commenting on the excellent size of the ‘bull’s eye’.
Z Night is fitted using Menicon’s proprietary Easyfit software (available to optometrists at no cost), which links directly with your topographer, utilising the patient’s plots to determine the best fit lens, be it a sphere or toric design. While Easyfit has been shown to be highly accurate in achieving first fit success, on occasions when the first lens is not ideal, it will analyse the resultant plots and design an improved fit.
Z Night lenses are supplied in two colours, wine red for the right eye and blue for the left.Recommended for patients with myopia up to -5.00d, Z Night is ideal for both kids and adults wanting to have orthokeratology treatment.
