An entirely new frame fashion event will take place in Sydney, running alongside ODMA 2017. Frame Fashion Week will initially be developed to attract those in the industry however the organisers hope to reach the public with future events.
Frame Fashion Week co-founder, Sue Dight from Touring Enterprises said while details were yet to be decided, Frame Fashion Week would comprise up to 10 different experiences that could include optical conferences, buying group conferences, retail window competition and an ‘Eyewear through the ages’ expo, under its ‘umbrella’. These experiences would compliment ODMA 2017, occur across the CBD and be accessible to those attending ODMA 2017 at Darling Harbour.
Design Junction, which will be held within the premier brands area of ODMA Fair, will be the showcase event of Frame Fashion Week. ODMA 2017 runs from 7–9 July, Frame Fashion Week from 1–10 July 2017.
