A new College – The Australasian College of Optical Dispensing (ACOD) – will open in 2017 to deliver training and continual professional development that meets the growing needs of the optical dispensing industry. The College’s status was confirmed as a Registered Training Organisation on Tuesday 13 December, 2016, in accordance with the provisions of the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (RTO ID is 45068).
ACOD has been established by James Gibbins and Chedy Kalach, who together have over 45 years industry and vocational education experience as teachers of optical dispensing in both Australia and New Zealand. They have a wide association of colleagues in the industry and have been responsible for the training of thousands of students.
From 2017, ACOD will offer the following courses in the Vocational Education and Training sector as a Registered Training Organisation.
