Transitions Optical has increased its support of independent practices by appointing three new Business Development Managers in Australia.
“The role of our Business Development Managers is to work in partnership with independent practices to help them build their business through increasing the sales of Transitions lenses,” said Stuart Cannon, Transitions Optical General Manager for Asia Pacific.
“The appointment of three new Business Development Managers is a sign of how serious we are about working with independent practices to help grow their business and to significantly enhance our partnership with them.”
The appointments come as part of a significant increase in Transitions Optical promotional activity over the past four months including the release of new point of sale material, participation at ODMA 2017, the chance for an eye care professional to win a Mini Cooper Convertible, and the launch of the ‘Live the Good Light’ campaign.
Appointments
Transitions Optical’s three new Business Development Managers are:
Robert Richardson: Mr. Richardson has over 20 years’ experience in account management and in selling an extensive range of products to a diverse customer base including commercial, retail and government sectors. His most recent role was business account manager with Arrow Pharmaceutical where he spent over 10 years. Prior to this he worked at Aspen Pharmacare, SIGMA and Bidvest Food Service.
Kaushik Mohile: Mr. Mohile has 16 years’ experience in sales and business development, having worked in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and optical industries with Livingstone International, Alphapharm, Bausch & Lomb, Becton Dickinson and IQ Global. More recently, he worked with NPS, a government agency conducting training on clinical topics and products.
Nick Bennett: Mr. Bennett has 13 years’ experience as a sales professional in the optical and luxury goods sectors. His most recent role was with The Spectacle Site as merchandising manager. He alsop has extensive experience in staff training, management and education of staff in luxury boutique and optical sales environments. Mr. Bennett has worked in Luxottica International and in LVMH distributing TAG Heuer frames.
“We are looking forward to bringing Robert, Kaushik and Nick on board and they will quickly start working with independent practices to provide tools and training to assist in Transitions lenses discussions with patients,” said Mr. Cannon. “The team will also work with practices to help them leverage our media activity which is designed to encourage customers to ask for Transitions lenses.”
